Overview​

The Expense Points module provides a comprehensive categorization system for different types of business expenses. This module serves as the foundation for expense management by defining broad categories that finance departments expect to spend money on, making it easier to track, budget, and analyze organizational expenditures.

Features​

Expense Point Categories​

The system includes predefined expense points that cover common business expenditure areas:

Inventory Management (IM) Module​

  • Material: Material Expense Point - For raw materials and supplies

Project Management (PM) Module​

  • Equipment Hire: Equipment Hire Expense Point - For rented or leased equipment
  • Right of Way: Right of Way Expense Point - For land access and usage rights
  • Vehicle Hire: Vehicle Hire Expense Point - For vehicle rental costs
  • Other: Other/General Expense Point - For miscellaneous project expenses
  • Material Purchase: Material Purchase Expense Point - For project-specific material procurement
  • Daily Wages: Daily Wages Expense Point - For temporary labor costs
  • Facilitation: Facilitation Expense Point - For meeting and training costs
  • Fuel: Fuel Expense Point - For vehicle and equipment fuel costs
  • Vehicle Repair: Vehicle Repair Expense Point - For maintenance and repair costs

Expense Point Management​

Viewing Expense Points​

  • Access all expense points through a centralized table view
  • Search functionality to quickly locate specific expense categories
  • Sortable columns for Name, Description, ERP Module, and timestamps

Information Tracking​

Each expense point contains:

  • Name: The category identifier
  • Description: Detailed explanation of the expense type
  • ERP Module: Associated system module (IM, PM, or FM)
  • Date Created: When the expense point was established
  • Date Updated: Last modification timestamp
  • Actions: Available operations for each expense point
